We were wanting to do a hike near Loskop but the logistics of booking and getting the hikers to pay within 3 days just didn’t happen, so I decided to book the Rapids hike in its place…..and Wow what a good choice that was.

This is truly a lovely trail – there is a bit of everything for the hiker, the trails are well marked – we lost the trail – but that was purely because we were all talking so much, not one of the 13 of us walking saw the footprint going off to the left……

We were supposed to stay in the tented camp, but there had been a fire so we were very kindly upgraded to the chalets.

Stemmet, the guy on duty at the hike, was exceptionally good in taking care of us regarding wood and the gas that we couldn’t get going.

The second day's trail – the shorter one - is actually the best of the two days.

This is a trail well worth visiting – and we have already decided we will be back to do it again soon.
